Bo Shan

Based in New York City, Bo Shan has guided Capital Consulting as founder and CEO since 2015. He provides coordinated services to clients in the public and private sector that include strategic planning and life and career coaching. One area in which Bo Shan provides actionable advice is in improving employee capacities within complex organizations.

Mr. Shan’s current business builds on past analytical responsibilities with the RAND Corporation that involved evidence-based research into economic, social, defense, and security issues. Meeting the needs of a clientele of global decision makers, he drew on local resources as well as an international network of experts in various subjects.

Mr. Shan subsequently took on foreign service officer responsibilities with the U.S. Department of State. Working within the public service and political career tracks, he provided a host of services to U.S. citizens at embassy and consulate posts. Bo Shan also undertook research on various international issues and maintained strong working relationships with the government agencies in host countries.
