I am 27 pre-medicine student with aspirations to be a orthopedic surgeon or oncologist. I love to be active, especially sports - rugby, football, soccer, basketball, etc, and travelling - I have been to Russia, England, Scotland, Italy, France, Hungary, Netherlands, Spain, Korea, and Taiwan. I can speak Italian and French and know enough Russian to find my way around.

On August 1st, I will begin my journey to a new life. A life of being healthy and no longer being obese. I will also be having surgery for 4 herniated lumbar discs on August 5th (I am quite nervous). This blog will serve to keep track of my progress in both weight loss and recovery for those who may suffer from either.
