The journey starts in Bogota-Colombia were I was born. At the age of 4 my family moved to Santiago de Chile while it was still under Pinochet's dictatorship. This fact will give shape to some of my later work. My parents are avid readers and the ones who first taught me to "read between the lines". When I was 10 years old I moved with my mother to Lima-Peru, which is one of the most amazing countries that I've been to. I traveled with her extensively being able to experience the culture, the amazing scenery and mystery of this country. While in Peru I finished my high school studies and started studying Economics at the Universidad de Lima, which only lasted 2 years since at the age of 19 we moved to Switzerland. This would prove to be a very challenging time in my life. At the time it made sense for me to study Hotel Management since one of my passions is to travel, I could work any were in the world.
After going back to Colombia and working in the Hotel industry for 7 months I quickly realized this wouldn't be my way of earning a living. Eventually I found a job as a flight attendant with a mayor international airline, which I thoroughly enjoyed traveling to new and old places, taking in all the art and culture I could in. Later I realized that my calling was as a graphic designer, so I moved to Ft. Lauderdale in the US were I got my Bachelor's degree at the Art Institute, graduating with the best portfolio and finally doing what made sense to me. Not having enough with these studies I embarked yet in another venture to get a Master's degree in graphic design being this the most important part of my life as a graphic artist. At this time and with the support of my professors and my parents I found the critical and political voice I always had in me since childhood. My parents taught me how to "read between the lines", my teachers how to "make it happen graphically" and life to enjoy and suffer every second of it.
