Bouchra Filali Lahlou, icon of the traditional Moroccan caftan was born in Fez, one of the main cities that has contributed to the history of Morocco through its crafts, culture and deep traditions. On the other hand, it is in Casablanca, the great economic capital of the country that Bouchra will settle definitively and will see his passion grow; a passion that was transmitted through blood and genes being the daughter of a great fabric manufacturer.
From an early age Bouchra got used to the different colors and textures that fabric can have, and this amalgamation of her father's creations gave birth to an innate sense of perfectionism very present in her sumptuous masterpieces mainly from her culture and her roots.
To love is to share, this is why Bouchra Filali has chosen to share his love, his passion and his know-how which has continued to be forged over the years and which is manifested above all in his sensational choice of colors. and stones as well as his perseverance and rigor in the smallest details of his creations.
TAKCHITA
The takchita is a version of the Moroccan caftan dress, revisited by Moroccan designers. It is composed of at least two pieces, the tahtiya, which is a caftan, and the fouqia or dfina which is an open and often transparent caftan. It can have up to four or even five today. The takchita is magnified by belts of various original and richly worked shapes called "Mdamma".
CAFTAN DRESS ( KAFTAN )
A kind of traditional long tunic, one of the components of Moroccan clothing heritage. The Caftan is worn by both women and men.
HAUTE COUTURE
Franco-French label granted by the French Federation of Couture to a defined number of houses required to respect strict and binding specifications. The term is unfairly used by many Moroccan designers, sometimes barely graduated from local schools and fashion.
JELLABA (djellaba)
Hooded tunic traditionally down to the ankle, a must in the Moroccan wardrobe for both women and men. The jellaba, like the kaftan, is constructed ‘after a “T” shape.
