Hi!

I’m Fredrik. Lifelong science and engineering nerd currently working as Head of Bioinformatics at the Center for Translational Microbiome Research (CTMR) at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden. Ever since childhood I have been wildly interested in everything technology. However, maybe surprisingly, I strongly believe that the best thing to do with a free weekend is to spend it outdoors. Just me, my hiking boots, backpack, and my tent. Serenity and relaxation.

Besides all of that I also spend a lot of time enjoying and creating music. In fact, I spent a whole lot of my free time when I was studying for my PhD in Gothenburg as guitar player in the metal band DÖDAREN.
