Bo Zou is a Toronto native and user experience (UX) specialist with more than fifteen years of experience in creating user experience design solutions for brands as they participate in today’s digital transformation.

Bo Zou received part of his formal education in China, graduating from Jilin University in 2001 and earning a Bachelor of Applied Science from the school. He then earned postgraduate degrees at two London universities, one from City University London, the second fromUniversity of London. At City University London, Bo studied visual arts and arts criticism, graduating in 2002 from the school with a Master of Arts degree. He then continued his studies, focusing on the area of human computer interaction with ergonomics at University College London, graduating from the school with a Master of Science degree.

With deep experience in all digital channels, Bo Zou has focused for more than a decade on providing brands innovative guidance and solutions for creating forward-thinking user experiences across entire digital channels, including mobile, tablet, desktop, and increasingly emerging channels, such as wearables and phy-gital interactions. Bo’s passion for user experience design is built in part on his lifelong interest in discovering ways to merge science, technology, art and design.

Using his UX expertise, Bo has led the user experience team at JWT/Mirum/HeathWallace in Asia and has also provided UX design and strategy for brands such as Citibank, Scotiabank, Manulife, Fidelity, AMEX, Nissan / Infiniti, Molson Coors, Ikea, Toshiba, Microsoft, Unilever, Best Buy and Pfizer.

Bo is an active advocate of using the potential in blockchain technology to improve banking access to those in the world who are currently underserved by traditional banking systems. Blockchain technology can provide a unique opportunity to create a new digital banking infrastructure that can bring banking solutions cheaper and more quickly to the roughly 2 billion people in the world who are unbanked.

Bo looks forward to using his UX expertise in leading the creation of a roadmap that will harness the opportunity found in the blockchain to create innovative banking solutions to the underserved.
