Ben Pickering

I have been involved with online media and software since 1998, working with both start-ups and Fortune 500 companies. I am currently the President at SoMedia Networks, a pioneer of scalable cloud-based video production and video marketing solutions.

I previously served as CEO at Strutta, a leading SaaS social media marketing platform and one of Canada's first Facebook Preferred Developers. Prior to Strutta I held senior business development and strategy roles at Yahoo!, where I helped some of the largest global brands and agencies develop and execute integrated digital media campaigns.

I was named to the 2013 list of Top 40 Digital Strategists by Online Marketing Institute and have been a featured speaker and writer on the topic of social media marketing for the likes of Social Media Examiner and Mashable.

Raised in Silicon Valley, I now call beautiful Vancouver, BC home.
