Burhanuddin Pithawala

I was born in 1986 in Ujjain. A religious place flocked by millions every 12 years for a Holy bath. For the rest 11 years it is a peaceful place, where life moves at a snail’s pace, things and people don’t change there.

I have a big family back there Mom, dad, Grandpa, Grandma, Uncles, Aunts and more Uncles and Aunts and lots of cousins. I have one elder brother, he lives in Pune. My nephew is the dearest to me.

My mother has been the motivation in my life; I owe a lot to her and to my dad.

I was in Ujjain till 16. Life was simple; friends and studies took up most of my time. Next went to IIT Kharagpur, been the best period of my life. I never liked the place much especially the weather, but at KGP nobody cares about the place, its the friends that made the life what it was there. I still miss all of them and the great times we had for four years.

Joined ITC after college, life of a corporate manager babu phewwww. Enjoyed and learned from some good people I found there. The work at ITC opened my eyes to greater possibilities and courage to follow the Big dreams. I have ventured now on an entrepreneurial path. Lets see where it goes from here.

I started Oyeparty with Ranjan Kumar in 2011. What began as an idea on 18th dec 2011, transformed into a plan, then into a website and now a company thats 1 year old. We have seen a lot of adventures on our way and are still waiting for some more to come.

I married Rashida in Jan, 2013 and since then the life is even better. Having someone by your side who loves you and nurtures your dreams is a joy absolutely surreal. We have a long way to go still.
