Brad Howes

I am currently living and working in Prague, Czech Republic for Microsoft Skype where I am a product owner for the push notification system Skype uses to communicate to mobile devices all over the world. My past work has involved military radars, genome sequencing, image processing, optimizing parts layout in manufacturing systems, and modernizing a multinational customer service operation. I started out on Apple ][ and Radio Shack computers, moving from BASIC to FORTRAN to C and C++ and Python, with Java, Lisp, and Smalltalk along the way. I still marvel at the compute power now available in mobile devices compared to what was available when I was a child. Looking forward to the next 40 years!
