Brad MacDonald
My Name is Brad MacDonald and I am 20 years old and currently
attending Algonquin College and plan to graduate from the Business Management and
Entrepreneurship program in April 2013. After I Graduate I plan to get a
plumbing apprenticeship and start working with a plumbing company here in Ottawa.
Eventually I hope one day to own my own plumbing company.
I am outgoing person who loves sports and traveling. I am a
very competitive person who has played hockey at the highest level since I was
8 years old, playing AA, AAA, and even some junior hockey. Hockey has taught me
a lot of life lessons from teamwork to dedication. I have the type of personality
who loves to lead, and for that I have been named captain or alternate captain
on almost all the teams I have played for. Travelling is another passion of mine;
I have been blessed to travel many parts of the world with my family. This has
taught a lot about different cultures and behaviors of people.
I have worked in the restaurant industry since I was 15
years old, starting off at McDonald's. When I was 18 years old I got a job opportunity
to work in Regina, Saskatchewan as a project manager for a contractor company
called Gabe's Canada. We had to build a fiber optic
route for Rodgers Cable Company through the streets of Regina Saskatchewan. I
was responsible for the making and drawing of all as builds and well as
supervising all the construction workers on the site. This job really made me
grow up because I was living on my own for the first time and I had a lot of
work responsibilities. I came back from Regina and started working for a
plumbing company in Ottawa, Multi-Drain. I am currently working there part time
at Multi-Drain, and once I finish school I plan to start my apprenticeship
with them. I have big plans and can't wait to get them started.
