Brad Allen Cucchetti
Trained as an orthopedic surgeon, Brad Allen Cucchetti, DO, has served in a variety of capacities in the Southwestern United States. Currently, Dr. Brad Allen Cucchetti acts as Medical and Surgical Director of major medical-device distributor Desert Mountain Medical, based in Phoenix. The full-time role entails providing medical education on the company's products to area orthopedic surgeons. He previously focused on sports medicine, which addresses both the treatment and prevention of injuries caused by sports mishaps or through exercise. In addition to treating patients in an office setting, he acted as team physician for professional sports teams the New Mexico Scorpions and the New Mexico Renegades.
Dr. Brad Allen Cucchetti has advanced the field of orthopedic surgery through presentations at professional conferences, on topics such as "Stiffness Following Proximal Humerus Fractures Treated with Arthroscopic Capsular Release and Subacromial Decompression." At an American Osteopathic Association conference in Orlando, he discussed "The Use of Digit Widget to Correct PIP Flexion Contractures in Dupuytren's Disease." The orthopedic surgeon also contributed a chapter to Master Techniques in Orthopaedic Surgery: Reconstructive Knee Surgery.
A graduate of Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences (KCUMB), where he earned his DO, Dr. Cucchetti fulfilled a rotating internship and orthopedic surgery residency at Grandview Medical Center in Ohio and a sports medicine fellowship at Florida Orthopaedic Institute and Tampa General Hospital. He earned numerous accolades and acknowledgements during his academic career, including first place in a poster presentation before the Dayton Area Graduate Medical Education Consortium and recognition as KCUMB Clinical Researcher of the Year. As a practicing physician, Dr. Cucchetti garnered a spot on Albuquerque The Magazine's prestigious list of Top Docs.
