Brad Barrett

I grew up in West Bloomfield, Michigan, not far from the mean streets depicted in the 2002 critically acclaimed film "8 Mile." My childhood was kind of like that, but instead of improvisational rap I excelled at things like math and baseball. And instead of living in the depths of squalor with an abusive mother I grew up in a nice suburban neighborhood with my parents and older sister. But besides that my childhood was pretty much like the movie. I moved to California when I was 18 and besides a stint in San Francisco and London I have been here since. I graduated from Claremont McKenna College and have worked at The Capital Group since graduation. I analyze and invest in media and internet companies. In my free time I work. I also care for my Siberian cat Vladimir who is the cutest little autocrat you will ever see.

Update: I am married now to Ashley Barrett who is by far the best wife I have ever had! Vladimir has a brother named Honeymoon, or as I refer to him "a means to an end which is Vladimir's happiness."

Oh and I have two kids!
