Braden Johnson

Boulder, Colorado

Ambitious third-year student at the University of Colorado Law School, beginning my search. I'm looking for a firm or government entity which can best prepare me for a fulfuilling career in litigation.

Though I am just beginning my legal career, I have already gained solid experience in the fields of environmental law, federal litigation, and administrative law. While working as a clerk in the US Attorney's Office for the District of Colorado, I experienced high level federal litigation by assisting the Civil and Appellate Divisions. I also clerked for the Federal Mine Safety and Health Review Commission, where I attended hearings, performed research, and drafted decisions for three Administrative Law Judges. Further, as part of my duties in the Getches-Green Natural Resources and Environmental Law Clinic, I have worked on two federal oil and gas disputes in the Rocky Mountain West. My work in enviornmental law was recently noted when I was awarded the John and Cynthia Schultz Wildcatter Scholarship - a full tuition award given to one outstanding environmental law student every year.

I have also developed experience in business law while working for West Venture Law, and through courses like Corporations and Venture Capital & Private Equity. I have drafted business documents like Operating Agreements, Joint Venture Agreements, and Articles of Incorporation. I have also lectured at Boulder Startup Week, and written content for a business law blog.
