Brad Geer

An alumnus of Stanford University with a Bachelor and Master of Arts in Economics, Brad Geer acts as a Managing Director in the financial restructuring group at Houlihan Lokey. Brad Geer has earned recognition as one of the most active investment bankers in bankruptcy restructuring transactions on multiple occasions. He joined the Houlihan Lokey team in 1998 as a Vice President for one of the firm's joint ventures in South Korea, where he worked with distressed banks and nonperforming loans until the Korean currency crisis ended in 2000. At that point, he moved back to the United States to focus on domestic restructuring. He became a Managing Director at Houlihan Lokey in 2006.

In the past decade, Brad Geer has handled some of the most prominent bankruptcy restructurings in the world, functioning as an adviser for official creditor committees. These restructurings include Lehman Brothers, NRG Energy, Laidlaw, Chiquita, Polaroid, and a number of others. Brad Geer has also advised in post-reorganization situations for certain of these companies upon their emergence from bankruptcy.

Before assuming his current role, Brad Geer served as an Associate with Churchill Capital, where he managed the structuring of leveraged buyouts conducted by the fund through the use of employee stock ownership programs. He also worked as a Director with Poongsan Corporation in Seoul, South Korea, overseeing foreign investments and joint ventures with foreign companies.

Outside of work, Brad Geer enjoys spending time with his wife and their daughter. He frequently donates his time to Cancurables Foundation, which his wife founded to aid in the fight against cancer. He also regularly plays golf, a passion he pursued in high school and college and through which he has won several honors.
