"Duke" Bradley Benton Stunkel, Jr studies communications at the University of South Florida and has distinguished himself as a valuable member of the South Florida Bulls baseball team. During the 2016 season, Duke Stunkel, Jr started 43 games at first base and 10 games in the outfield. He ended the season with a .260 batting average and two home runs, as well as 21 runs batted in. His batting average rose by .54 points during a 12-game hitting streak in April of the 2016 season and reached a career high.
The prior season, when he was a freshman at St. Petersburg College,Stunkel,Jr batted 0.400 and achieved 34 runs while appearing in significantly fewer games. That year, he was named FCSAA Conference Player of the Year.
As a high school student at William T. Dwyer High School in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Stunkel, Jr received a 2014 All-American Honorable Mention from Perfect Game. At the end of his senior year, he made First Team All-County and played under head coach Frank Torre. He lettered for three years of high school.
