Brad Underhill
Student, Volunteer, and Small Business Owner in Melbourne, Australia
I am a Deakin University Postgraduate Research Scholarship student and Tutor in the School of Humanities and Social Science . My research is focused on the economic, social, and political effect of colonial development programs in the post-War period on Melanesia.
In 2017 I was awarded the Bowater Trust medal, best all-round graduate in the Deakin Business School: based on academic merit, community service, and ambassadorial qualities.
In 2018, I established the Underhill/Bowater scholarship to provide economic and mentoring support to a Deakin student experiencing financial disadvantage.
I am a volunteer youth mentor and Board member of Licola Wilderness Village: a not-for-profit organisation supporting at risk children. I am also a member of the Vermont Lions.
I am happily married and very proud of my community-minded daughters.
