Brady Bersano

Hello! My name is Brady Bersano, I am a Marketing Major at California Baptist University. I've been wrestling all my life. Started as 5th string JV at 112 lbs my freshman year of high school; last year I worked my way to the ranking of #2 in the nation at 157 lbs. Unfortunately, at the national tournament I did not show up to win and did not wrestle the way I had all season.. I came up short of the podium by one match and ended my junior year in the top 12, at the NCAA DII national tournament, just short of All-American status. I was devastated; however, I have been using this loss as a tool to motivate me. This year I sustained a bad injury to my knee right after obtaining the starting spot and sat out for just about the whole year as a red shirt. I picked up a minor in public relations, and I am incredibly excited for the season to come which will be my last year as an NCAA wrestler at CBU. CBU Wrestling has been making a name for itself these past few years in the wrestling community. It has been a humbling experience being able to be apart of something much greater than myself. I intend to help lead the team to a top 5 finish at the NCAA tournament next year and to accomplish my goal of reaching top 3 on the podium at the NCAA national tournament. As I could not wrestle due to my injury, I have been focusing on my academics even more so than before, and I have devoted a lot of time in search of a marketing internship for the summer of 2015. If I could describe myself in one word it would be "grit". I'm a hardworking individual that doesn't let past failures or short comings get in the way of my future successes . I'm stoked at the idea of using my (not-so cheap) marketing education to contribute to (and learn from) an organization this summer.
