Brahm D. Siegel is a family lawyer and partner at the law firm of Nathens, Siegel in Toronto. He is certified by the Law Society to be a Specialist in Family Law. He is also a trained Collaborative family lawyer, and has been a mediator and an arbitrator since 2006.
In March 2009, Brahm Siegel became the Dispute Resolution Officer in the Family Court of the Superior Court of Justice in Toronto. He handles disputes related to divorce, child support and custody, spousal support and maintenance.
Brahm is the co-author of McLeod’s Ontario Family Law Rules Annotated, the founder and consulting editor of the McCarthy Tetrault Guide to Family Law Courts in Ontario. He authored chapters on divorce and alternative dispute resolution for the Law Society, where he lecutured for 6 years. He was also wrote for the Canadian Family Law Quarterly and the Ontario Divorce Magazine.
Brahm is a regular speaker at various conferences and seminars in family law, particularly the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Canadian Bar Association. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of Bench & Bar at the Ontario Court of Justice in North York, Toronto.
He founded the Nathens, Siegel Award. It is a scholarship awarded to a first year law student at Queen’s University Faculty of Law for Queen’s University’s first year law students from Quebec, based on financial need and academic achievement in undergraduate studies.
