Nancy Hawkins
I moved to Massachusetts in 1993 to set up a brain injury rehabilitation program for adults with challenging behaviors, and I love my job. In 2005 I was diagnosed with rectal cancer, had 24 surgeries and am cancer free. 5 wonderful things happened during my illness - I found my friends - Pam and Kate. Mysister and nephew Liam came to live w/me and help me. My parents came to help me and my surgeons Jagruti Patel and Carol Neuronga were fantastic, My oncologist Dr. bering was the tops. I am cancer free, learniing to was again and my little adopted sister just had a little boy. Life is good. Im going cat shopping working on my house, our garden is beautiful. Im single and happy, learning to use the kindle, leather work, spending time with my nephews, sister,mom and dad. I am 53 years young and have much too live for, I have also made some great new friends, Leslie and JT. They helped me get well. My best friend has a weinmariner named Baily that I love dearly and she lets me share her. I have a great life!
