Baltimore, Maryland, United States
I was born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. When I graduated high school, I made my winding way to Oberlin College, where I found college admissions work, became a swing dancer, and started figuring out how to blend my working class Southern background with my bourgeois education.
I'm now based in Baltimore, where I get to spend my days as an Admissions Counselor for Goucher College. My jam is connecting prospective students to college and, in particular, underrepresented populations to the magic and opportunity of a liberal arts education.
In my spare time I swing dance, occasionally moonlight as an installer of temporary dance floors, read a whole lot of things in print and online, cook for my friends, and get to know Baltimore.
