What do you want to be when you "grow up" and why?
I am studying hospitality business management. I am focused on hotel management and am hoping to be a General Manager for Hyatt Hotels or Four Seasons.
Why did you choose WSU?
I chose WSU because I knew it had a great agriculture/animal science program and I had heard that coug spirit didn't compare to any other school, and it turned out to be completely true. I ended up switching my major to HBM though. I actually didn't see WSU until the day I moved in to my Residence Hall freshmen year. I knew I was a coug since middle school.
Where is your favorite place to study?
My favorite place to study is in Holland Terrell Library by the windows that overlook the football practice fields. The library always has a lot of students, so it is nice to be surrounded by cougs in a quiet environment that is not distracting.
What is your fondest WSU memory thus far?
My best memory of WSU was my first football game experience. It amazed me that I could hear the cheering in the stadium across the entire campus. It feels incredible to be in the center of an entire stadium of coug fans, where everyone is singing the fight song and clapping along to the jaws chant.
What advice do you have for new Cougar parents?
I think the best thing you can do as a Cougar parent is to not overwhelm your student with texts/phone calls (as they are very busy adjusting to college life), but make sure you're student knows they are loved and missed! Sending your student a care package from time to time is one of the best ways to show your student you are thinking of them. Do not worry about your student's well-being as WSU offers so many programs for your student to get help, from counseling to health care, and even free tutoring.
Who is your favoite music artist?
I am a huge country music fan so my favorite would have to be a toss up between Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan.
What is your favorite food?
I could honestly eat sushi three times a day if I had the finances to support such a diet. I also love making different Quinoa recipes that I find on Pinterest.
What are you involved in?
I have been involved with the WSU Horse Polo team, Pre-Vet Club, New Student Programs, The Bookie, and Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity.
