Blogger, Maker & Massage Therapist in Marysville, Washington
When I was tiny, in pigtails & overalls, my mom used to say all I needed to be happy were a box of crayons and a roll of Scotch tape. At 33, not much has changed -- I have 300+ rolls of washi tape, am happiest when making, and am forever searching for the perfect vintage overalls.
My name is Brandi and I live in the Pacific Northwest, where the coffee is strong, moss abounds at every turn, and fairies inhabit each nook and cranny. I love to spend our rainy days playing make believe in my art studio. I'm a self-taught maker and kinesthetic learner, so I absorb and process information well through touch and creative experimentation. I'm fond of altered art/mixed media work, embroidery, fiber arts, and jewelry-making, but I never shy away from trying something new.
When I'm not making, I'm about town rescuing vintage and otherwise secondhand treasures from landfill fate. It makes my heart happy to see old things made new through appreciation and/or re-purposing. I offer my handmade and vintage finds on Etsy. I also experience connection & healing through my six-year, home-based massage therapy practice for women: Dharma Massage in Marysville, WA.
I'm blessed with an equally visionary and incredibly encouraging mate, who makes me feel like a newlywed despite having known him over half my life. It is a direct result of his unwavering support that I'm able to have both an art AND a massage studio, and to work from our home. I am thankful every single day for such radical love and abundance ♥
