I am employee no. 2 at US Surface Warehouse, which manufactures and distributes building materials. I jumped on board what was then a new startup back in 2007.

I thrive on working in a small business environment with ever-changing priorities. I wear many hats. One day I am reconciling our freight expense accounts and negotiating contracts with vendors, and the next I am traveling to set up or train one of our distribution facilities across the U.S. and Canada.

Each day brings something new. I have learned to be flexible, efficient, and tenacious enough to get my projects across the goal line. I am always eager to get to my next challenge.

I enjoy traveling outside of the United States every year with my wife, most recently to Tahiti, Mexico, and Aruba. We enjoy seeing new places and experiencing different cultures. You are more likely to find us at a local hotel eating native dishes than at a giant resort.

As a hands-on person, I spend many weekends tinkering on my 1978 International Harvester Scout, a labor of joy and my second vintage car restoration project. Spending quality time with my wife and six month old daughter, Gentry. I enjoy running with my five-year-old Weimaraner so he doesn't tear up my house, which I work on quite a bit as well. I have learned patience through my dogs and cars, and have broadened my cultural experiences through my travels. As I look ahead, I hope to continue this great journey from the city I call home, Austin!
