Whenever I need to write an auto-biographical blurb, I always find trouble thinking of things to say. It's hard to write about yourself in a way that highlights your strengths and accomplishments while trying to not seem braggadocious and over-confident. That being said, I'll try my best.

I am an accounting student at Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario. People always ask why I would study something as boring as accounting and the answer is simple: I am good at it and I believe that playing to your strengths is key. Not to mention the fact that I genuinely enjoy what I'm doing. However, that doesn't mean I don't believe in self-improvement and working on weaknesses. I live everyday looking for opportunities to learn from myself and others to eventually become the best me that I can be.

I would characterize myself mainly as a hard worker. I've worked in retail since the age of 15 and have learned a lot of skills and met a lot of great people from all walks of life. I've been told that I'm a natural 'people-person' with a lot of charisma and positive energy. I guess comments like that hold more weight coming from others than if I were to just say them myself.

I love sports, I love being active, and at this point I think its safe to say that I love life. Things are good and knock-on-wood that they stay that way.
