I am a pitching coach and independent scout for Perfect Game USA.I have played baseball my entire life enjoying the game and playing for some great teams. I played for College of the Canyons (JUCO), San Diego Christian College (NAIA) and the Los Angeles Dodgers scout team for 5 years.I have coached for 3 years now after hanging up my cleats and deciding to utilize my degree as a coach. I am finishing my Masters at Ohio University already attaining my double major BA degree in Business/Communications from San Diego Christian College where I attended on a baseball scholarship and coached in 2012. I have been working for Team San Diego Baseball as a coach and was promoted to Director of Player Relations after my first two years.I was also named All Star Pitching Coach in my first season as the pitching coach for TSD. I have recruited a great team of players from all over the United States for college and they have competed very well in the SCCBL (Southern California Collegiate Baseball League) with 27 wins this summer. I did have Matt DeRosier who was drafted from the Washington Nationals in the 24th round of the 2013 MLB Draft on my staff this past season at Southwestern Community College after dropping 20 pounds and putting on 5-6 mph on his fastball. We were ranked in the top 3 of the state for JUCO baseball in era before falling off due to lack of pitchers (6). The team ended with a 2.89 era at the end of the 36 game season. Baseball ends for everybody at some point so when you ask players that I have coached I would want their reaction to say that I was the most positive and influential person in their life. He cared about my everyday life and my progression in the sport to get the best out of me. Not only did he make me better but made me feel that I had a friend and someone to go to when in need. Being a coach I feel means to help a player play the best he can play in the best situations at the most opportune times to be successful and in some cases ways to become a better disciplined person on and off the field.
