Brandon Poll

Brandon Poll is a full time Animation student at SAE Institute based in Brisbane, Australia.

Who am I - I'm a young guy with a passion for creation who wants to make his imagination become reality. My interest in animation started off as a little kid when I would play video games for hours on end. From the youngest age, I knew that when I grew up I would want to be involved in making games. Now here I am years later, pursuing an education in animation, so that some day I will become the man that makes the characters come to life.

What I've done - I've had previous experience in the field working as a trainee for Lightmare Studios, where I received my Certificate III in Media. On the side, I have worked as a freelance graphics artist on YouTube for bloggers and gamers.

What I like -My hobbies and interests include Brazilian Jiujitsu, History, drawing, gaming and Metal. The spirituality behind Brazilian Jiujitsu and metal is a huge inspiration to my work. My interest in history and gaming reflect the style I like to animate, I really enjoy making ancient siege weapons or designing armour and weapons.

What I'd like to do - Since I've started my Bachelor of Animation at SAE Institute, I've become more interested in animating movies over games. Being a massive fan of Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, I would love to work as an animator for Weta Digital based in New Zealand.
