Hey there, I’m Brandon. I’m currently a mechanical engineering student at Clemson University and am also pursuing a co-op internship opportunity that was offered to me by JTEKT North America.

I grew up in Georgetown South Carolina were I developed a love for family, friends, sports and the outdoors. Because of high school sports I created a pattern in my life where physical activity became apart of my daily routine and it was and is even more enjoyable if I was outside with people that I care about. I grew up in a Christian household and as a result the most important thing to me is my relationship with the Lord and my daily journey to living a Christ centered life. Through this, I developed a love for all things music. In middle school I had the opportunity to join the church band, and ever since then I am obsessed with many different kinds of musical genres and instruments. Some hobby's of mine that I have been able to hang on to since coming to college include musical instruments, hunting, camping, and do it yourself projects.

My career goals are very open at this point in time but I have learned that just because I don't already have a job in mind before I graduate doesn't mean I can't set myself up to be successful. Initially when I chose to be a mechanical engineering student at Clemson I had no idea what I would want to do with it after I graduated college. Unfortunately, that is still mostly the case. But, what I have been able to narrow down through my time in school and my experience through the co-op program is that I would really enjoy participating in the design aspect of mechanical engineering. Some would say that its a disadvantage for me that I do not know exactly what I want to do with my degree but to me I consider it exciting and full of possibilities. I've always enjoyed creative thinking and finding new and better ways to do things, so anywhere that I can apply that motivation at is a possible future career path. My options aren't narrowed down to a specific industry of engineering that I like. I'm very enthusiastic to see where my education and experience takes me in my future career.
