Brandon Riley is a virtualization and storage focused distributed systems veteran who has been working in financial services for the past 18 years. Currently, he designs, implements, and performance tunes infrastructure for a firm deemed systemically critical to the operation of the United States economy. While instrumental in introducing VMware at his firm, he also implemented one of the first solid state SAN solutions on the market for an application used by the top 20 financial institutions in the country.
He was awarded VMware vExpert for 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 has been a Tech Field Day, Virtualization Field Day, and Storage Field Day delegate, and enjoys staying on top of emerging, disruptive technologies in his area of expertise. His prior sales experience gives him a distinct edge over many in the tech industry when it comes to communicating difficult concepts to all levels of an organization.
When not working, he enjoys writing for Virtual Insanity and freelance, and loves spending time with his three growing boys.
