Brandy Burdeniuk is a graduate of the Industrial Design program at the University of Alberta and a LEED® Accredited professional. Her main focus for the last 4 years has been EcoAmmo, a consulting firm offering sustainable research and education for the built environment.
As a partner at EcoAmmo, Brandy works with her team of “Bombshells” to provide tools and services to educate and excite people about green design. Brandy’s passion and knowledge of sustainable design is an important and valuable resource for the industry, and she stresses that collaboration and diversity is key to finding environmentally sensitive solutions.
As of January 2008, Brandy has taught Green Design at the University of Alberta Faculty of Extension, a course she developed with the EcoAmmo team. She has also taught Introduction to Residential Interiors, DES 401 Intermediate Industrial Design Principles and Practices and DES 403 Furniture Design Principles and Practices. When she is not working or teaching, Brandy enjoys snowboarding in the winter and swimming, longboarding, biking, and strawbale home construction in the summer.
