Brandyn Cooper has spent the last two years as Brand Manager for Boston-based Ray Allen Enterprises. He oversees the NBA player’s multiple business interests, including the television program The Pre-Game Meal, a production company, and an independent record label. The position requires Brandyn Cooper to manage the day-to-day business operations and finances of the enterprise, to implement marketing and public relations campaigns, and to coordinate promotional appearances and photo shoots for Mr. Allen and his wife, Shannon. Previously, Brandyn Cooper performed as a Pro Basketball Field Representative for Nike, Inc., in Beaverton, Oregon, where he developed relationships with top-tier basketball players. He negotiated contracts with new Nike athletes, briefed players before media appearances, and facilitated commercial shoots and public events. He also acted as a liaison between internal groups and players to ensure they were satisfied with Nike’s products. A graduate of Fordham University in New York City, Brandyn Cooper spent much of his career with Nike. He started working for the corporation as an Intern on its Jordan brand. In this role, he gained experience in marketing, public relations, and event promotions. After three months, he was promoted to Project Coordinator and managed multiple relationships with Olympic and action-sport athletes. He also developed strong ties to the United States Olympic Committee. At the end of 2006, he was tapped to develop content and oversee NikeBasketball.com and NikeGridiron.com as the Associate Producer of Digital Brand Marketing. The following year, Brandyn Cooper left Nike to accept the post of Junior Account Executive with Bragman Nyman Caferelli. While there, he directed product placement and editorial opportunities for the Jordan brand. He rejoined Nike in 2008, where he remained until his recruitment by Ray Allen Enterprises.
