For over a decade, Breanne Ulewicz used her skills in management, leadership, and customer service to build a rewarding career in business. As one of the first employees, Ulewicz assisted management open Michigan’s Sports Club of Novi in 2000. While still in college, she went on to become the Office Manager for a State-Wide Insurance broker; her efforts helped him increase sales by 20 percent. After two years in that position, Ulewicz relocated to Arizona after graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Western Michigan University in 2004. After working with the Scottsdale nonprofit organization Foothills Community Foundation (FCF) for a year and a half, she was promoted to the position of Executive Director. Despite her busy career in business management, Breanne Ulewicz finds time to take part in numerous activities for both physical and mental enrichment. While in Arizona, she developed an appreciation for hiking. Black Mountain, Pinnacle Peak, and the Go-John Trails are just a few of the locales she visits. In addition, Ulewicz is also an avid cook who enjoys entertaining for friends and family. She hopes to use her talent in food preparation to open a café in the future. Her other plans include visiting Australia and New Zealand. An experienced traveler, Ulewicz has already made trips to England, Scotland, Spain, France, Sweden, Italy, Denmark, Africa, Canada, and Mexico. Organizing community service programs was part of Breanne Ulewicz’s duties as the Foothills Community Foundation’s Executive Director. That focus on community service extended beyond her work responsibilities, however. Since organizing the FCF’s first American Red Cross blood drive, Ulewicz continues to donate blood throughout the year. In addition, she and her family donate items to The Salvation Army each year and volunteer at a soup kitchen during every holiday season. Ulewicz also participated in the Pets on Wheels program where she and her miniature dachshund Aspen brought joy to those living in an assisted living facility. Beyond these activities, Breanne Ulewicz strives to be a resource for new Western Michigan University graduates through her membership in the institution’s alumni association.
