Brenda Hanna

As district care coordinator for the Toronto Central Local Health Integration Network (LHIN), former occupational therapist Brenda Hanna oversees the delivery of home care for clients covered under the Ontario Health Insurance Plan. Responsible for the implementation of each individual care plan, from hospital discharge to residence in the community, she evaluates client needs and capabilities to ensure the appropriate services. Brenda Hanna comes to this role following close to five years as owner, operations and sales manager, and clinical supervisor of AchieveMax Rehabilitation.

In offering high-quality rehabilitative services, Brenda Hanna filled a market niche and created jobs for occupational and physical therapists, social workers, and related professionals. She ensured the development of comprehensive care plans and designed strategies to ensure appropriate delivery of interventions across disciplines. Successful in meeting client needs, she also drove revenue growth and improved operational efficiency.

In addition, she draws on seven years of experience as a former occupational therapist. She has served on the clinical teams at Rehab First and Bayshore Therapy and Rehabilitation, and as a consultant to Karen Rucas and Associates. She holds a master's degree in her field from Wayne State University, where she had previously earned a bachelor of health science.

In her free time, she enjoys watching independent films, reading, and practicing yoga. Also a traveler, she enjoys exploring different cultures and has taken Arabic- and Italian-advancing courses.
