Brendan Henkel

First things first, I am a husband and father first. Secondly, I am a resident of Durham, North Carolina and I am an aspiring sports journalist getting my masters degree in New Media Journalism from Full Sail University. My two passions in life are people and sports. I love being able to connect with the two on a daily basis. I plan to utilize these two passions and take the sports journalism world by storm.

I earned my Bachelors degree at Liberty University in the field of Religion. It was then that I established my passion for people and connecting with them. It was only after I had obtained that degree that I realized I wanted to fuse that with sports and embark on a journey to get my Masters in New Media Journalism to pursue my career in sports journalism.

Prior to getting my masters I worked in the Financial Aid field for Higher Education. I have been able to utilize being able to connect with people and help them in their journey in achieving their own dreams.

The biggest and most important aspect of my life is my family. I have an amazing and beautiful wife named Amanda and two perfectly imperfect children in Kyle and Adalynn. They are my world and as you can see look much better than me. When I am not at work or school I am with them ... or watching sports.
