Brendan Feeney

A graduate of Dublin Institute of Technology, I hold a Bachelor of Architecture (Hons) from the well-received Dublin School of Architecture on Bolton Street, Dublin 1.

During my academic break, I worked for Seán Dockry & Associates in Galway, Ireland. I spent my time there completing planning applications, tender packages, fire cert applications and initial residential and retail design proposals. Working with an in-house team, I actively contributed towards town planning proposals for the local council. On an individual basis, I produced 3D renders and hand drawings for design proposals and planning applications. (http://www.sdaarchitects.ie)

In my free time, I have volunteered most years for Open House Dublin. This involves acting as a point of contact for the Open House project, marshalling all visitors to a building and organising groups for the guided tours inside. I acted as the Tour Guide for two years that I have been involved. (http://www.openhousedublin.com/)

During my time in academia, I discovered a great love of water sports and the great outdoors, hiking along many of the mountains and hills along the east coast of Ireland. I hold a Day Skipper Certificate from the Royal Yachting Association and have been trained up to the Irish Canoe Union’s Level 3 standards.

I am a member of the Wet & Wild Sports Club and have volunteered much of my time organising and planning kayak training days and weekend trip for its members (http://wetandwildsports.com/)
