Hi, I’m Brenda. I am a Ph.D. student at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, developing researches linked to the study of the use of linguistic indicators characteristic of incitement to hatred associated with computational methods. I have a Master's Degree in Computing from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2019) and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Federal University of Santa Maria (2017). Recently, I also collaborated with the Institute of Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science (INESC TEC), collaborating in projects for the application of natural language processing mainly to the extraction of textual narratives. In this collaboration, my main contributions were linked to the Text2Story project. Other areas of interest include research focused mainly on data mining, natural language processing, and analysis of hate speech in social networks, also having experience in the areas of Conceptual Modeling and Data Science in general.
