Brenden Chaney is Vice President, Programs at Startup Angels, where they inspire and enable angel investors. Startup Angels offers ways for new angels to learn about startup investing, and for expert angels to learn about new markets.
Prior to joining Startup Angels, Chaney was Vice President of Global for Global Entrepreneurship Week, an initiative to encourage and promote entrepreneurship around the world. As a part of the senior leadership he managed the in-country teams across the globe. In a little over five years, he helped grow GEW to more than 135 countries and built a network of entrepreneurship champions.
Chaney was also the lead organizer of the Global Entrepreneurship Congress. An inter-disciplinary gathering of 2,000 startup champions from around the world being in held in countries around the world
Chaney has also served as Vice President for Global Partnerships at YSN, an organization created to help people achieve extraordinary things with their lives and careers. He worked to build campaigns for corporate partners, Subway, the U.S. State Department and Bloomberg Businessweek.
He has also served as Vice President for The Public Forum Institute, coordinating public forums for members of the United States Congress on policy issues including: entrepreneurial growth and economic development; renewable energy; education; and workforce development.
