Brendon Falconer was raised in York, Pennsylvania, where he cultivated an early interest in both academics and athletics. As a competitive track and field athlete, he learned the importance of preparation, accountability, and resilience. These qualities later became central to his professional life. He earned an accounting degree from Kent State University and completed an MBA at Indiana State University, gaining formal training in management, organizational leadership, and financial strategy.
His technical background includes financial accounting, management reporting, asset and liability management, and data analytics. He has worked extensively in econometric modeling, ACL development, and stress-testing frameworks. In addition, he brings experience in credit analysis, financial modeling, and investment portfolio oversight. His responsibilities have also included designing hedging and derivatives strategies and overseeing investor relations and performance measurement processes.
In February 2014, Brendon joined Old National Bank as senior vice president and director of management reporting and data analytics. In that role, he led enterprise financial, operational, and credit reporting efforts while managing the development of ACL and stress-testing models. He also helped expand the organization’s analytical capabilities by supporting the establishment of its first formal data science role and contributing to the creation of a business intelligence platform.
In September 2016, he was promoted to treasurer at Old National Bank. His duties expanded to include oversight of liquidity, capital planning, market risk sensitivity, the investment portfolio, and treasury operations. He led initiatives to centralize consumer loan and deposit pricing and to strengthen the bank’s risk analysis. His leadership contributed to the rollout of a revised deposit pricing framework and hedging strategies designed to protect interest income during periods of market uncertainty.
Since May 2019, Brendon Falconer has served as senior executive vice president and chief financial officer. In this capacity, he oversees financial accounting, reporting, tax, treasury, data analytics, procurement, and finance operations. During his tenure, Old National Bank experienced significant growth, surpassing $46 billion in combined assets and completing the acquisition of a $20 billion Chicago bank.
Beyond his executive leadership, Brendon has participated in industry conferences, including the “Acquired or Be Acquired” banking conference, where he has spoken on core banking system selection and enhanced credit analytics. He remains active in community initiatives and nonprofit engagement. A former NCAA Division I decathlete who competed in the 2000 Olympic Trials, he continues to value discipline, performance, and service in both his professional and personal life.
