Brendon Melander

Brendon has worked and traveled extensively throughout the United States, including Alaska and Puerto Rico. He has visited thousands of households around the nation and has worked with a large diversity of people. He obtained his baccalaureate in Accounting at Brigham Young University-Idaho.

While finishing his undergraduate degree he helped raise his wife's teenage sister and helped get her into college. He also dedicated time to helping his wife complete her degree, since neither of her parents had the opportunity to attend more than elementary school.

He lived in rural Guatemala after completing his freshman year of college, living among the K'iche' and Mam speaking Maya people of the western highlands. He learned and speaks fluent Spanish.

Growing up he was a national winner of the Chicago Board of Trade's Commodity Challenge and a national contender in the National Geographic Bee. He was also the creator of his high school's first website. He graduated as a valedictorian.

He enjoys photography, travel, and mountaineering in his free time.

He currently resides in Wyoming with his wife and daughter.
