I think Gustave Flaubert put it perfectly. He says,“Travel makes one modest. You see what a tiny place you occupy in the world.” The world is a place that is full of places to see and people to meet. One of my passions that makes me who I am, is my travels. My parents instilled in my sisters and I, a passion for learning and appreciating other cultures. This lesson is something I will be sure to take on with my children and family. I have been to my own homeland, Norway (pictured), but I've also been the Cancun for just a fun family spring break. Whether it's north, south, east, or west, I take something intangible home with me from every trip. After all, we're all basically on a trip our whole lives so we might as well appreciate the ride. I guarantee that every part of my inner being has partly to do with my travels. Just as Mary Ann Radmacher says, "I am not the same, having seen the moon shine on the other side of the world” that is true of myself as well. I look at life's circumstances, observe others, and gaze upon my own journey differently because of the 15+ countries I have visited.
