Billy Brennan
Virginia Beach, Virginia
Hello! My name is Billy Brennan and I was born and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I am currently attending The University of Shenandoah studying in the field of Kinesiology to try to become an athletic trainer (AT). I am also apart of the men’s varsity basketball team at Shenandoah. My whole life I grew up playing sports with my friends on rec teams, middle school, and then finally high school teams. My favorite sport has always been basketball, and I have always strived to play at the college level even though I am not a typical looking basketball player. I am a hard and dedicated worker in anything I want to do whether its on the court or in the classroom. In high school I went to Tallwood High and got accepted into the World Languages and Global Studies Academy. During my high school career I also played two sports, soccer and basketball. I earned many athletic awards in high school consisting of Defensive Player of the year at my school in basketball, second team all Beach District in soccer, and Male Athlete of the Year at my high school. Being part of the academy also opened up so many opportunities for me; I got to go to Disney World, Italy, Czech Republic, Germany, and Austria. My four years of high school were very successful. I was able to maintain a 3.5 GPA, be apart of an academy, play sports, and also stay involved with the school government association. My Freshman year of college has been pretty good so far and plan on being as successful as I can at this level of my life too. I am currently holding a 3.0 GPA and hope to get above at least a 3.4 for this upcoming semester. Shenandoah has so far, been a great college for me academically and athletically.
