Brent Polischuk
Business Owner and Operator in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
I am a Victoria, British Columbia–based owner-operator with experience running and managing a local delivery service. My work focuses on reliability, organization, and steady financial oversight. I’m responsible for the full operation of the business, including scheduling, route planning, regulatory compliance, budgeting, customer coordination, and day-to-day problem solving. I currently manage a fleet of ten vehicles and take a hands-on role in maintenance and upkeep to limit downtime and control operating costs. My priority is providing safe, on-time delivery while keeping operations efficient and predictable for clients.
Before owning my business, I worked directly as a delivery driver, which gave me practical experience with customer service, time management, and safe vehicle operation. That background continues to inform how I plan routes, manage staff and equipment, and respond to client needs. My approach to business emphasizes clear communication, accountability, and careful cost control, values that are central to my work as a logistics professional.
Alongside my business career, I have spent many years involved in competitive hockey as a player, coach, and operations contributor. I am a certified High Performance 1 coach and have held evaluation and operations roles within BC Hockey and Hockey Canada–affiliated programs. These positions required consistency, preparation, and calm decision-making in structured, high-pressure environments.
In 2019, I served as Host Family Coordinator and logistics support for Team USA during the World Junior Hockey Championship in Victoria and Vancouver. In that role, I helped manage accommodations, supported athletes and staff, and acted as a liaison between organizers and the visiting team. I have also contributed to community fundraising efforts in Greater Victoria, including serving as a Tournament Co-Chair for a JDRF charity golf event.
I bring a practical, people-focused mindset to my work. Whether managing deliveries, supporting athletes, or coordinating events, I believe trust is built through consistency, preparation, and follow-through. This approach guides my work in business, leadership, and financial responsibility.
