I serve as Social Science Coordinator and Wildlife Research Specialist for the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. My work examines topics such as wildlife governance and trust in government, hunter recruitment/retention, hunter/trapper compliance, and economic contributions of wildlife-related recreation. I am responsible for the integration of research and management applying both social and biological science, and advising senior administrators on development of policies, regulations, and public engagement.
