Story and the power of parsimony

Brett is the Game Evangelist and Event Producer for the growing industry of competitive video gaming. Since representing Fate of the World in North America, Brett has also worked as a game design consultant with the Grateful Dead online game and the Bob Moog Foundation Science of Sound game (to be released in 2014).

With more than 20 years in computers, a degree in Community Leadership, a habit for gamification, and a recently completed Documentary Film, Brett brings a powerfully optimistic perspective. When activated you will catch Brett waxing about how playing the games give a new context to the stories we tell about our present, future and past. These stories can and will change the way we play our collective realities. Brett currently lives in Asheville, North Carolina where he is part of the founding production teams for TEDxAsheville, LEAF, the Adventure Film Fesitval and IgniteAsheville. Brett has been a mentor, panelist and workshop facilitator at HATCH, TEDActive and SXSW.
