Brett Tollman
Brett Tollman, son of The Travel Corporation founder Stanley Tollman, grew up in the hotel and travel business and naturally stepped up when the time was right to take on a prominent leadership role in the company. Brett Tollman was born in South Africa in 1961 and later moved to the United States to study hotel management at the highly acclaimed Cornell University. Following his academic studies in the early eighties, Brett Tollman went on to serve in a number of managerial positions in sales, marketing, operations and development for The Travel Corporation and other companies.
Brett Tollman is the current CEO and President of The Travel Corporation, a private, family-run business of 30+ brands relating to hotels, travel, and tourism. He has been head of the company since 2010. Generally speaking, Brett Tollman has been part of TTC's network since mid-nineties, holding a variety of positions from sales and marketing to overseeing their capital investments. His goal is to offer a consistently quality of service, experiences and value for every one of the company’s different brands, and their respective clients’ needs and budgets. This is his passion, and current drive and focus as the CEO of the group.
Brett Tollman is active in a number of organizations that promote leadership and sustainable travel responsibility. First, the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) is a non-profit organization made up of company presidents that come together to share ideas, experience, guidance and knowledge with each other. Second, Tollman is also a Vice Chairman for the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), which promotes sustainable travel and by bringing the public and private sectors together, around a broad selection of travel topics and issues. Third, Tollman was one of the founding members of the Conservation Foundation established through The Travel Corporation. This non-profit group educates the public about tourism destinations that require conservation in order to promote preservation, as well as contributing funds from the company to support various sustainable projects.
