Music/Writing: For the last decade and a half Brett Wildeman has been scribbling ideas and thoughts onto loose-leaf paper and notebooks. Pieces from these literary sketches often translate themselves into the beginnings of his songs. The sounds of the West Coast environment Wildeman grew up in are fused into his music; the percussive nature of his guitar playing imitate the rhythmic melodies produced by the ocean swell, lapping against the shores of the Georgia Strait.
