Writing is something I want to do more of, but am currently failing at miserably. I write a lot of poetry, most of it angst-ridden. I immensely enjoy the turn of a phrase. Hopefully, someday soon, I'll start writing that screenplay for which I've been gathering notes for so long...

I'm a big fan of beer. All kinds. All seasons. I've an apt surname, it turns out. And, that may be a contributor to some of my difficulties with writing. Ahem.

Awards/Kudos/Shoutouts

As a musician, I've performed in multiple bands (one winning "Best Unsigned Metal Act" at the 1994 Los Angeles Music Awards). I still sing and compose today.

As an entrepreneur, I have about a 12% success rate. Out of businesses ranging from computer assembly (trounced by Dell) and social networks (I beat everyone to the punch in 1998, but failed to understand how to make money from 'free'), several have had good success, including The Denver Scene magazine, and my current company, Zavoodi.

I've created web applications and sites for a variety of organizations, ranging from startups to Apple Inc. Recently, my work for the FDR Four Freedoms Park was recognized by the Interactive Media Awards.
