I have had the good fortune and experience to work in a variety of finance, investment and strategy roles in the last 20 years, with a number of award winning international companies in media and technology reporting directly to senior management and the Board level. From researching and introducing products to new markets, to analyzing and introducing new process to departments, to creating business models for innovative technology, I have delivered on seemingly impossible objectives and worked to earn the trust of both team members and clients.
My mandate is to finance, manage and market media properties, build new business relationships with distribution partners and foster strategic alliances. With a strong strategic focus and a multi-faceted intellect, I am currently CFO-COO at Cream Productions Inc. a Toronto Canada based international TV production company. Past positions with companies have included Bell Media, Telefilm Canada and Insight Production Company.
I have been invited to speak at numerous industry events in North America and Europe on issues regarding the dynamic nature of media and convergence. My community efforts involved working with The EMMA Foundation, formerly a European based organization that built an international networking community for the digital media industry; funded educational programmes, activities and scholarships; promoted the creation of high quality digital products and services and acted as a resource center for international digital content creators. I have a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from the University of Manitoba and am a member of the Chartered Accountants Institute of Ontario.
I am involved as a Board member of Wychwood Barns Community Association and sit on the advisory committee of the Global Poverty Project (http://www.globalpovertyproject.com/ ) an international organization whose task is to alleviate extreme global poverty within 25 years using education, events and social media.
