Brian Kresge

Brian is a native of Lancaster County and a graduate of J.P. McCaskey.

He served as an infantryman from 1994-1999 with the vaunted Rakkasans of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and with the 1st Battalion, 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment at Fort Richardson, Alaska.

From 1999-2001 and from 2005-2011, Brian served with the 28th Infantry Division in the 104th Long Range Surveillance Detachment and the 2nd Battalion, 112th Infantry, a part of the 56th Stryker Brigade. Brian is very proud of his time as a paratrooper, earning United States, British, and Thailand jump wings. Brian now serves with the 328th BSB in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania.

Brian used his GI benefits for college, and is employed as a programmer of accounting, billing, and invoicing systems in Lancaster, specializing in web and mobile application development. He is an author of fiction and writes numerous trade articles.

He lives with his wife, Leah (who serves on Manheim Central’s School Board) in Manheim with their daughter, Amelia, and their two dogs, Herschel and Bear. They are members of Congregation Shaarai Shomayim, where Leah teaches and Brian is a member of the Board and chair of the tech committee.

Brian is an active mentor team leader with Lancaster County Veterans Court. He serves as a lay leader for a Jewish prison/military outreach program. He is a member of the Sierra Club, Lions Club International, the Jewish War Veterans, and is a lifetime associate member of Hadassah.
