Chief science officer Brian Lande works with the police training and research company he co-founded, Polis Solutions, Inc., in Seattle. An active member of his profession, he holds ties with organizations related to both police work and sociological concerns, including the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the National School Resource Officer Association, and the American Sociological Association. Additionally, since 2013, he has served as a member of the research advisory council to the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST), where he researches aspects of police training and practices utilizing various methods of evidentiary analysis.
