I am currently a junior at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in the Isenberg School of Management. I am a marketing major with minors in sociology, economics, and anthropology. Along with being a full-time student, I am a Volunteer Firefighter at Amherst Fire Dept, the President of Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society, and a member of the Umass Club Lacrosse team.
I am extremely passionate about art, advertising, and marketing. I am very experienced with Photoshop and Wacom design. In 2010, I received Scholastic Art Honorable Mention from the Boston Globe for a graphite drawing and had that same piece displayed in the Worcester Art Museum. I have loved creating art since a young age and I continue to pursue my art while at the University of Massachusetts Amherst with small private jobs. I have created multiple pieces that have been featured in the Mount Holyoke Newspaper and I have also been contracted to draft logos for modified racecars. I am open to all kinds of art and am willing to work with anyone to make their artistic dream a reality.
I love being a lacrosse player, but now I want to make my passion a career. This past summer, I was an experiential marketing intern with of Warrior Sports headquartered out of Warren, Michigan. I represented the company as a brand ambassador, traveling the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic United States activating events for crowds over 5,000. I increased Warrior & Brine brand awareness utilizing product display trailers, promotional give-a-ways, and event contests to provide interactive experiences for consumers. I learned immense amounts about what it takes to be a successful grassroots marketer. During each event, I supervised a staff of five team members while maintaining over $25,000 in lacrosse assets. At each event I collected vast amounts of data regarding the lacrosse industry for advertising and future products. This internship may have technically been "work," but I loved every minute of it. I grew as a person and as a leader.
